Titleist ran wordy two-page spread in Golf World last week, “The facts about golf ball performance and fitting.” It’s a great ad. Rather than expound about specific golf ball differences, the most important take away is that you need to hit the same golf ball ALL THE TIME, not just whatever is in your bag.
Removing swing speed as the defining element many players use to choose a golf ball, the ad explains that even tour pros shoot at lower swing speeds for mid and short iron shots. A critical factor then, is finding a golf ball that reacts the way you expect it to on approach shots. High performance golf balls like the Titleist PRO V1 and ProV1x are designed to perform for ALL players for ALL swing speeds on ALL shots. The key to lower scores is better approach shots that put your ball closer to the pin. There are significant performance differences in golf balls on wedge shots due to ball spin differences. If you play different golf balls all the time, how do you know how your ball will react on the green when you hit it correctly?
Practice using the same ball over and over again. Choose one you like, then donate all your other balls to a local kids golf camp. Read more about the Titleist approach to ball fitting on their web site or visit your local pro shop.

Nike Golf 2009 golf balls have been shipping quickly. Nike One Tour replaces the Nike ONE Platinum. Nike ONE Tour D replaces the Nike ONE Black. 2 dozen minimum for custom golf balls with your name or event in text. 12 dozen minimum for logo golf balls.
Tour vs Tour D comparison:
4 piece vs 3 piece
Professional athlete vs 90 mph swing speed
maximum control vs reduced driver spin and more distance
“Compared with the One Platinum, it has a slightly firmer cover, which will give you a little less spin off the tee,” Ishii said. That should help you hit straighter tee shots.

There are two Callaway Tour golf balls presently, the Callaway Tour i and the Callaway Tour ix.
Callaway Tour i vs. Callaway Tour ix
tour i construction- 4 piece Callaway says “The longest tour ball we’ve ever made.”
tour ix construction- 4 piece. Callaway says “Short-game spin for precision control.”
The mantle layer appears to be slightly different, and the outer layer softness varies too.
Visit CEOgolfshop.com online store to buy Callaway tour ix golf balls now:

The 2009 Titleist Pro V1 golf balls and Pro V1x golf balls are now shipping. We have both custom personalized golf balls and logo golf balls available immediately. Production time on personalized golf balls, which cost the same as blank balls in retail stores, is only 2-3 business days so you’ll get your golf balls in about 2 weeks. Production time on logo golf balls, is 3-10Â business days so you’ll get your golf balls in about 2-4Â weeks. Rush production is always an option and the rush fee is minimal if you really need them.
I’ll be testing my 2009 Titleist golf balls in a golf tournament tomorrow and will report back!

I’m often asked ” which logo golf balls should I buy?”. Â If you are a golfer, the question is easy. But if you are in marketing, and don’t golf, it’s much tougher. All the big brands make good golf balls.Â
By brand preference, I’d suggest;Â
1. Titleist
2. Nike
3. Callaway
Our top sellers in order are:Â
1. Titleist Pro V1
2. Titleist NXT Extreme
3. Titleist NXT
Here are some tips:Â
For lower cost tournaments, under $150 per person, choose a ball for an average player.  Usually this is a Titleist NXT golf ball. The Titleist DT solo is popular at breast cancer tournaments, though we’ve never had a request for them.Â
For higher cost tournaments, which usually attract lower handicap players, and players who spend more money on their golf gear, the Nike One Platinum is a great alternative when you don’t want to go with the traditional Pro V1 logo balls, want to save a few bucks, or just to take advantage of promotions. I also recommend the Titleist NXT EXTREME LOGO golf balls. It’s a mid-priced ball, and a lot of players may not have tried it. Let’s face it, golf balls get lost, so this may be a good value, and the recipient will definitely appreciate the gift, even if it’s not a Pro V1.Â
You may notice that I’ve recommended mostly Titleist. We don’t make more money on them. They are simply the most widely respected to the largest audience. So while some players may love Bridgestone, Precept or Nike, on average, it’s easiest to please the most people with Titleist. If you’d like an equivalent ball, we’re happy to recommend other brands that offer equal or better value.Â

Over the last 30 days, CEOgolfshop.com has nearly doubled the number of products offered in the online store. There are now nearly 200 different products with 1000′s of styles and colors available. Over 100,000 products are in stock at various warehouses we access. CEOgolfshop always sells the latest brand styles available, not clearance merchandise.
Due to the large number of SKU’s, fast changing inventories, and the different resources used to fulfill customer orders, CEOgolfshop is unable to maintain a live inventory for customers. This may occasionally inconvenience customers, but CEOgolfshop CEO Christine Speedy says “We fulfill a niche need for our customer base and our product depth exceeds any other resources our customers have tried. We may not be able to fulfill every color all the time, but we have so many options in fabrics and colors that we can nearly always find a suitable alternate.
The Bugatchi Apparel line has been expanded for both men and women. More photos have been added and inventory notations have been included for items in tight supply. CEOgolfshop focuses on customers who know what they want, and are seeking a reliable source to fulfill them.
Golf ball sales have doubled since updating the department this summer. Titleist and Nike Golf balls are the biggest sellers and CEOgolfshop expects incremental sales growth will continue with golf ball add-ons to apparel sales.
